shoe4africa - make the difference!

Last year was my first time in New York, a truly incredible city that left its mark on me.
I had come to New York to participate in the world’s largest and most prestigious Model UN
conference for secondary school students. During the simulation, I represented the nation of Togo (evidently, Africa is in my destiny), in the Social, Humanitarian; Cultural Issues (SOCHUM) committee.

Even though this was only a simulation (preceded by an in-depth study of the economic and social situation of the nation I represented), it was immediately clear to me the immense difficulties that poor nations face in making themselves heard by richer ones.
The gap is so deep (in terms of needs, requirements, etc.) that it was very difficult to make people understand the needs that exist in Africa.

And this was only a simulation—let’s imagine what happens in the real world. In 2025, I will return to New York for a second time to participate in the simulation again, but this
time I will also take part in the NYC Half Marathon.

For all these reasons, I have decided to support, without any doubt, the “Shoe4Africa” project,
inviting anyone who can to contribute to the construction of the Children’s Hospital in Kenya.
In this way, the next Tommaso born in Africa can receive the same medical care I had in Italy (and thank to this I was able to have these experiences).

Please support me with a donation as I run to help alleviate poverty and build a Children’s Cancer Hospital in Kenya, the first of its kind for sub-Saharan Africa.
