I am joining Shoe4Africa on their mission to build a kids cancer hospital. On November 3rd, 2024, I will be participating in the TCS New York City Marathon with a singular goal: to raise funds for the construction of this, sub-Saharan Africa’s inaugural children’s cancer hospital, a public facility to help some of the poorest children in the world gain quality access to healthcare.

It’s truly disheartening to confront the harsh reality that nine out of ten children diagnosed with cancer in this vast region do not survive. The urgency of this situation cannot be overstated, and that’s precisely why I’ve chosen to run for Shoe4Africa—an organization dedicated to effecting positive change in East Africa.

Shoe4Africa has already achieved a remarkable feat by establishing East & Central Africa’s premier Public Children’s Hospital, which has provided essential care to over 1,130,000 children. Now, our aim is to build upon this success by creating a dedicated children’s cancer hospital.

I am reaching out to humbly request your support in this noble endeavor. Every donation, regardless of its size, will be instrumental in driving forward this critical initiative. With your generosity, we can collectively make a profound difference in the lives of children battling cancer in sub-Saharan Africa.
