shoe4africa - make the difference!

false - 28827

I’m excited to share that on November 3rd, I’ll be embarking on a significant journey by participating in the TCS New York City Marathon for the second time. My participation holds a special purpose as I’ll be running to extend support to children in East Africa who face the dual challenge of poverty and cancer diagnosis.

The situation for these children is daunting. In sub-Saharan Africa, where a population exceeding one billion resides, nine out of ten children diagnosed with cancer do not make it due to the absence of a dedicated children’s cancer hospital in the entire region.

I’ve teamed up with Shoe4Africa (https://shoe4africa.org) for this cause. Their mission is groundbreaking: to establish the first children’s cancer hospital in sub-Saharan Africa, a public facility equipped with 152 beds. Their past achievements are inspiring; in 2015, they successfully launched the first public children’s general hospital in East Africa, catering to over 400 patients daily.

I humbly seek your support in reaching my initial fundraising goal. Every donation is tax deductible, and each contribution, no matter how small, directly fuels the realization of this crucial hospital.

I extend my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support in this noble pursuit.

Warm regards, Jean-Etienne
