Dear Family & Friends,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! At the beginning of 2024, I wrote a list of goals for the year and the two that topped that list were to return to Tanzania for my 2nd Annual Global Neurosurgery Course and to run the NYC Marathon. This May, I had the privilege of returning to Tanzania on behalf of DePuy Synthes Spine with the Weill Cornell Medical Team. I am honored to have been able to spend time in lectures and the operating room with some of Africa’s most eager and talented neurosurgeons and health professionals. There I encountered the most kind, grateful, caring, intelligent and resourceful people that I’ve ever met. I carry that experience close to my heart and when it came time to pick what charity I wanted to run for, Shoe4Africa, was the obvious choice.

Shoe4Africa is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in Africa through various initiatives, primarily focusing on healthcare, education, empowerment, and sports. Through their efforts, Shoe4Africa built East & Central Africa’s first Public Children’s Hospital, which has provided crucial care to over 1,000,000 children. Shoe4Africa has now begun construction on sub-Saharan Africa’s first children’s cancer hospital.
