Village
1. Women’s Hostel – $750K
2. Solarize the Village – $350-$500K
3. Water Pot – $50K Clean Water for Two Hospitals –We’ve applied for a $25,000 grant from the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Foundation to co-fund a solar-powered clean water system. Total project cost: $42,000–$48,000 (possibly as low as $40,000). If the grant succeeds, we’ll only need to raise $13,000.
4. Lion Park – $150K
5. Funds4repairs – $ $ $ We are launching a Repairs & Upkeep Endowment to safeguard the future of our hospital. In Kenya, government facilities are rarely maintained once built—repairs are often left undone until buildings fall into disrepair. To prevent this fate for our children’s hospital, we aim to establish an endowment placed in a high-interest account, generating annual dividends of around 10%. These funds will ensure that essential repairs, upkeep, and maintenance are consistently covered year after year, protecting the hospital as a place of healing for generations to come.
6. Dental Hub –
7. Eye Lab – Funded
8. Toy Hub – $1000
Iten
9. Security Walling – Security Fence for the Boys & Girls Club – $12,500 Needed (Chain link fence, 15-rolls (8ft high) of 18-meters long, posts concreted, and instillation)
Our Boys & Girls Club in Iten is a beacon for local youth. But recent theft and nighttime intrusions have made safety a top concern.
10. Landscaping – $1500
11. Solar Power for the Boys & Girls Club – $3,500 Goal. Right now, we borrow electricity using a 100-meter extension cord. At night, the club sits in total darkness, limiting activities and posing a security risk. This fall, we are launching a new tech program with 15 tablets and a projector for classes in financial literacy and business skills—but we need solar power to make it happen.
Farm
12. Coffee, Mushrooms, Chicken – running costs for youth projects and schools
13. Chicken & Egg Nutrition Program – $2,000 Needed
Every morning in Iten, we hand out boiled eggs to schoolchildren—a simple, nutritious boost ensuring no child starts the day hungry. It’s a key part of our growing nutrition program to support learning and development.
To scale this up, we’re raising funds to purchase 500 more hens. We buy healthy, four-week-old vaccinated chicks from trusted suppliers for a strong, sustainable flock.
Our Girls Empowerment group visits the farm monthly, learning hands-on agricultural skills and actively contributing to the program
14. A Bouncy Castle for the Children’s Hospital – $6,500
Because healing also happens through joy, we want to bring a giant, hospital-grade inflatable bouncy castle to the Shoe4Africa Children’s Hospital. Picture kids arriving to the sounds of laughter, instead of fear. This inflatable will offer movement therapy, emotional uplift, and pure fun—a safe space where healing feels like play. Estimated cost, purchase from China, with shipping/taxes: $6,500 See example »
This sustainable system will tap a natural spring, pump and purify up to 6,000 liters/hour, and serve the Shoe4Africa Children’s Hospital and the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH)—cutting a $39,000 monthly water bill by nearly 40% and ensuring reliable, clean water for thousands of patients.
