Sammy Wanjiru had a short fantastic running career, being the first Kenyan to win the Olympics.  Sammy was an ambassador of one charity – SHOE4AFRICA.  He never got to run the NYC marathon, but that was a dream of his.  Sammy’s spirit stays with us.  The last place he was living was in Elgon View, Eldoret, meters away from where our Hospital is now erected; I think he would be happy to know that we did achieve what was just a dream when he was alive!  Go Sammy!
