HAPPY SEVENTH BIRTHDAY to the Shoe4Africa Public Children’s Hospital in Eldoret, Kenya, that has treated almost 900,000 kids since first opening its doors on August 12th, 2015! So many stories to tell, so much history being made, and we still remain the only dedicated public children’s hospital in East & Central Africa. Our birthday celebrations mark our commitment to continue healing more and more children, offering the best services we can, and working to expand as we will soon be launching the building of a separate 152-bed Children’s cancer hospital (first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa) 100 meters away, and partner with the sidekick foundation to bring the first children’s burns hospital to our site (50-meters away). The future looks great, and I want to thank all of our donors and supporters because without you, this landmark building would have never been built! In 2024, no site on the African continent (private or public) will be treating more children than what we’ll be treating, and for a charity started by losing a single shoe, it is truly a running story!
