This morning, May 1st, Joyce did a fund raiser run for her journey that leads to Comrades in Nairobi helped ably by her great committee of Jael Amara, David Wild Run, Rose Sang, and a few others (whose names escape us right now).

Dubbed the Marathon Granny Joyce who has completed many marathons is doing the world’s most famous ultra this June – all 89km at 65-years of age!

Member of Kenyan Parliament Hon. Esther Passaris flagged off the run with marathon former world record holder Patrick Makau.   Hon. Antony Kiai MP for Mukurweini, Nyeri County also took part in the run.
