This morning, a little patient came to my office and left with new shoes and a new cuddly toy. A hospital should be a place where a child feels welcomed, and appreciated, and looked after. If we can make kids feel happier whilst the healing process takes place, we are helping that child heal faster. This has been our policy since day one that we practice constantly.
