shoe4africa - make the difference!

false - 33102

Introduction, During my trip to Kenya, I had the pleasure to visit the Shoe4Africa public children’s hospital in Eldoret. We spent the afternoon with a group of hospitalized children, reading, singing, dancing, and talking about our typical day in Germany.

Toby Tanser, CEO and founder of Shoe4Africa, explained and described many aspects of Kenya’s healthcare, talked about his past, and what led to founding Shoe4Africa.

A question arose, “What if my son was born here?” As a father of a 20 months old boy living in a privileged situation, it was overwhelming to see how different his life
would be, if he was born in a different place.

How can we help?

Together with Toby Tanser, CEO and founder of Shoe4Africa, we decided to start raising funds to support parents who cannot afford the transportation costs to visit their children at the hospital.
* Many parents cannot afford the bus fare to reach at the
hospital.
* Even more dramatic is the situation for families coming from
outside of Eldoret, or even outside Kenya
* Social workers will help identifying those families (often
parents are silent and overwhelmed with financial issues).

Thank you, any donation will make impact!
