I’m running the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon for SHOE4AFRICA—because every mile can change a life!

Growing up, the New York City Marathon was a family tradition. We’d go out and cheer my dad on around the city, chasing him as he chased PRs alongside the masses. Through those marathons, my dad met Toby and learned about Shoe4Africa, subsequently introducing lots of Shoe4Africa merch to the family. Running the marathon is a New York City kid’s dream, and I’m so excited to be making that dream come true this fall – making my family come chase me around the city for a change.

Even more importantly than just achieving a personal dream, I’m running to support Shoe4Africa’s mission to build the first-ever children’s cancer hospital in sub-Saharan Africa—a life-saving project that will give countless children a fighting chance. I’ve always been passionate about healthcare access, and I’m so excited to help support this mission.

But I can’t do it alone. I need your support to cross both the 26.2-mile finish line and our fundraising goal. Every dollar you donate goes directly to the project of building this new hospital.

How You Can Help:
1. Donate—every single contribution, big or small, makes a huge impact! PS: Every dollar is tax deductible.
2. Cheer me on—your encouragement fuels every step!
3. Share my page—help spread the word and bring more supporters to this mission!

Let’s turn every mile into hope, healing, and a brighter future for Africa’s children. Together, we can make this run truly matter!

Thank you for your support!

Emily
