Every Wednesday morning at the Shoe4Africa Children’s Hospital, some of our little patients step into a whole new role — they become Doctors for the Day!

This special healing program helps our kids feel more at home when they stay with us, makes them less anxious about the procedures they may face, and gives them a chance to explore the hospital in a fun, empowering way.

Guided by our incredible Child Life team — with Michael on the left and our chief Liz on the right — the children tour different departments, learn, play, whilst gaining confidence.

It’s just one of the many programs that makes us proud to say this, we believe, is the best children’s hospital in East Africa — a place of healing, comfort, and hope…all bundled together with love.
