shoe4africa - make the difference!

false - 35809

Together, as the Siegel family, we’ve devoted ourselves to changing healthcare for the most vulnerable children in Kenya. What began with us running the NYC Marathon to raise funds grew into a deeper commitment, joining the Shoe4Africa board and ultimately chairing it through one of the most transformative times in the foundation’s history.

Ten years ago, we opened East & Central Africa’s only public children’s hospital; a place that has since treated over 1.3 million of the world’s neediest children.

But we never stopped there. This year, we opened a new consultants’ house to expand care even further, and we are now halfway through building a groundbreaking children’s cancer hospital. It will be the first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa, and a partner with the prestigious St. Jude’s Hospital in the USA.

This mission is at the very core of who we are as a family. And next month, Dave will once again toe the line at the NYC Marathon. Not running for the sake of logging miles, or claiming another medal, but for making miracles for kids born into dire poverty who lack access to healthcare.

Every donation is tax-deductible and will directly help us reach our goal of saving hundreds of children’s lives and creating this landmark project.

The World Health Organization has reported that today in sub-Saharan Africa, 9 out of 10 children die after a cancer diagnosis. Largely because for 1.4 billion people there isn’t a single children’s cancer hospital. So, we have stepped up to rewrite those odds and need your help in building this 152-bed facility. Please step up with us and join the journey.

Warm regards,
Dave & Zee

“Beyond the very extremity of fatigue distress, amounts of ease and power that we never dreamed ourselves to own, sources of strength habitually not taxed at all, because habitually we never push through the obstruction.”
