shoe4africa - make the difference!

false - 33238

This November, I’m running the NYC Marathon to raise funds for Shoe4Africa, an incredibly important organization transforming healthcare, education, and opportunity in East Africa through grassroots action.

No bloated NGO. No Western overhead. Just real change, powered by people like you.

In 2015, Shoe4Africa opened East Africa’s first and largest public children’s hospital, a 200-bed facility treating over 430 kids every single day. The idea, construction, and completion were 100% funded by grassroots donations. Next up: Africa’s first public pediatric cancer hospital with 152 beds, twice the size of St. Jude’s in the U.S.

This work isn’t charity, it’s empowerment!  All projects are locally led, staffed entirely by Africans, and medical facilities double as teaching hospitals for Kenya’s top medical college. Since 2015, they’ve treated over 1.3 million children, built six public schools, donated more than 8 million meals, and supported thousands of youth and women through sport, education, and training.

100% of public donations go directly to the work on the ground.

I’m proud to run in support of this mission and I’d be deeply grateful for your support.

Every mile matters. Every dollar counts.

Harry E.
