In 2015, Shoe4Africa opened East & Central Africa’s first Public Children’s Hospital, which to date has provided crucial care to over 1,000,000 children. While this is an incredible accomplishment, over 90% of children diagnosed with cancer in this region do not survive (an inverse from the United states where childhood cancer has an 85% survival rate). Shoe4Africa is looking to change this statistic through the opening of a dedicated children’s cancer hospital.
