Seeking Volunteers
The Buy-Out Company is at it again….it has been 3 years since we did Carter’s Cause (see video) 72 Hour Extreme Home Make Over.
Carter’s cause was a total success with $106,000 raised to help Carter and his family. Multiple TV stations, radio stations, and magazines picked up the story and followed it to its completion.
This June 14th, 15th and 16th again, we are going to attempt to accomplish the near impossible task of a complete home renovation in just 72 hours. We need your help to make it happen.
We have purchased a home at 7159 S. Lincoln Way Centennial Colorado. In these 3 days we will change it from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan. We will then sell the home. All of the net proceeds, which we hope to be around $100,000, will go to support local and international educational projects. (see Attached)

How you can help
- You can volunteer to work…..below you will find a rough idea of what work will be happening each day. If you are a trade person or have a particular skill set please see if you can join us on the day that best fits your abilities. If you have no particular skill set, but just want to help we have great need for you as well, especially on Saturday the 16th. Volunteers can come any day for an hour or two or come for the day. Each day we will start at 7AM and end at 8PM (at least most people) If you would like to help send me an email,text or call let me know when you will be available to work.
- If you can’t help but would like to make a donation. Please see the attached for the list of organizations we will be donating to with the proceeds of this project. If one sounds particularly compelling, you can make a donation directly to that organization. Please let me know if you need more information.
- We are still in need of food sponsors to feed volunteers each day. If you would like to help in this area that would be great…let us know
Overall scope of project
The First 24 hours: Exterior: New roof, New gutters, multiple tree removals, New garage door and opener, new front door, new rear door, repair of soffit and siding, exterior prep and prime for painting. Dig window wells, Install 2 egress windows Interior: Demolition of 2 bathrooms and kitchen, demo of multiple interior walls. Sheet rock family room, bedroom, hallway in basement, and bathrooms, began tile work bathrooms, prep for interior painting, prime all interior, tape mud and texture basement and main floor areas,
Second 24 hours: Exterior: painting, completion of roof, Fill dirt, top soil and grading, remove fence. Install sprinkler system. Interior: Finish any texturing, Install all new interior doors and trim, paint all of interior, complete bathroom tile in all 3 baths. Final coat hardwood floors
Final 24 hours: Exterior: Landscape entire exterior with mulch, sod, shrubbery, install new fence. Complete any exterior detailing. Interior: Complete any final touch up painting, install bathroom and Kitchen Cabinets, install bath and kitchen sinks, faucets, toilets final trim shower and baths, Install granite tops all 3 baths and kitchen. Install cabinet hardware, towel bars, door hardware, install carpet basement, Install appliances, install light fixtures, final interior detailing, cleaning and furniture staging.
