shoe4africa - make the difference!

I am so excited to be able to run in the 2022 New York City Marathon this coming November!  This is my first marathon and I’m honored to be able to run to raise funds for the first of its kind Children’s Cancer Hospital in Sub saharan Africa.  This children’s hospital will be named after my Aunt Juli, who died from cancer after an 11 year battle.  The “Juli Anne Perry Pediatric Cancer Center” will be dedicated to saving the lives of African children diagnosed with cancer and will be a facility used ONLY for pediatric cancer patients. Once built, it will save hundreds of lives each year.

My Aunt Juli led a remarkable life full of service and her legacy still inspires me today.  She loved Africa where she became passionate about helping children there.  In the U.S. a child with cancer has a 90% survival rate; whereas in Africa a child with cancer has a 90% chance of dying.  Shoe4Africa is an amazing non-profit organization that offers kids in Africa diagnosed with cancer a fighting chance.  I’m humbled and excited to be a part of the Shoe4Africa team at the NYC Marathon and would be grateful for anything you could contribute to help this great cause. Know that your donation is tax deductible, will go directly to the hospital and will help desperate children in need. Thank you for caring to make a difference. Let’s do it!
