Hello friends and family, On November 5, 2023, I will be running the TCS New York City Marathon to raise funds for East African children born into poverty and diagnosed with cancer. Shoe4Africa is committed to building the first ever Children’s Cancer Hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa (a 152-bed public facility). Because of a lack of affordable healthcare, children diagnosed with cancer in this region of Africa have a 10% survival rate, compared to the 90% survival rate of those in the United States, making this mission critical and imperative. Shoe4Africa’s mission of saving and empowering the lives of African kids through their work of ensuring that no child is denied healthcare or quality education is crucial to combating these alarming statistics. To combine two passions of mine: charity work and running, I will be running the 2023 TCS NYC Marathon to help this cause. With that, I am asking for your help and support to reach and exceed my goal to help save the lives of Sub-Saharan children. Please remember that no donation is too small and every penny counts! Donations are tax deductible, and 100% of the funds raised will go directly to making this hospital a reality. For more information on the organization and where the donations will be used, please don’t hesitate to reach out or visit: https://shoe4africa.org/ Thank you so much for your support for these kids in Africa and for “making my miles count!”
Best, Tyler |
