shoe4africa - make the difference!

Dear friends and family,

This November 5th I am running for children who can’t. I will be running the 53rd TCS New York City Marathon (World’s largest marathon) to raise funds for East African children born into poverty and diagnosed with cancer. This cause is important to me as I have witnessed firsthand the damaging effects of cancer to friends & loved ones. Without a single children’s hopsital in the entire sub-Suharan region, the odds are stacked against these children. Currently, 9 out of 10 of these children are dying when diagnosed with cancer compared to 1 out of 10 in America. With your support, we can make a life-changing difference to those in need.

The charity I am running for, Shoe4Africa (https://shoe4africa.org), is committed to building the 1st children’s cancer hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa (a 152-bed public facility). In 2015, they opened the 1st public children’s general hospital in East Africa which treats 400+ patients a day. Please help me reach my fundraising goal. Donations are tax deductible, and 100% of the funds raised will go directly to making this hospital a reality.

With much appreciation for your support of this worthy cause,
Tristen
