Hi friends & family, This coming November I will be running in the New York City marathon, where I’ll be fortunate enough to run alongside (in direct competition with) my two brothers – Mitch and Jake. In doing so, I will be representing Shoe4Africa. It would be incredible if you could support me in this venture by donating to their amazing cause. Shoe4Africa are currently in the early stages of building the first children’s cancer hospital in sub Saharan Africa, an area which represents one billion people. Currently at the Shoe4Africa Children’s Hospital they have 28 designated beds for kids’ cancer, but always have over 50 patients suffering from cancer making it obvious that this new facility is essential.
I’ve always enjoyed challenging myself physically and mentally and there’s nothing that pushes the limit more than long distance running and endurance events. Over the years I’ve managed to build up a decent back catalogue of races but the NYC marathon is on another level due to its status, location and size and I’m really looking forward to taking it on. Beating Jake and Mitch comfortably and finally earning my parents love will just be a bonus. Thanks for all your support, it means a lot! Scott |
