Thank you for your contribution and support as I raise money for Shoe4Africa and prepare to run in the 2023 TCS NYC Marathon in November! Shoe4Africa began in 1995 as a small operation providing shoes to athletes in Kenya, and over the subsequent decades, has grown to have a huge impact on the region. In addition to donating over 5 million meals and opening six tuition-free schools, Shoe4Africa built East and Central Africa’s first public children’s hospital, which has now served over one million children. Your contribution is especially important this year as Shoe4Africa is underway building the first ever children’s cancer hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa. As many of you know, I was able to witness the great need for healthcare services during the time I volunteered with an organization in South Africa in 2010, and so it is especially meaningful to me to be running my first marathon in support of Shoe4Africa. Please give generously and help me reach my fundraising goal! All donations are tax deductible under US law, and the organization is incredibly lean so you know your donations will go towards the speedy completion of this much-needed hospital. Thank you again for your time and support — let’s help get this hospital built! Rick |
