shoe4africa - make the difference!
I’m excited to be running again for Shoe4Africa! I was never interested in running until 2017 when I was invited to run the NYC marathon with family and friends. We chose to run for Shoe4Africa and learned so much about this nonprofit and all that they do to improve the lives of children in Africa.
After that wonderful experience and other opportunities with them, I’m all in for 2020 and helping do my small part to help with the new Shoe4Africa – Juli Ann Perry Children’s Cancer Hospital. It’s an honor to raise money that will be giving children with cancer a fighting chance to get treatment and survive. My aunt Juli passed away after years of battling cancer. She loved her experiences in Africa and loved the children that she met there.
I am inspired and motivated to help carry on her legacy of loving all she met and bringing hope to the children of Africa. I have a three year old son who is everything to me. When I imagine what it would be like if he got cancer and couldn’t receive treatment it would be beyond devastating. I know that is the reality so many parents live with in Africa as currently 9 of 10 children die when diagnosed with cancer. We want to change that and I can’t think of a better cause.
I’m so excited to be apart of this great opportunity to change lives. Please join me in this great adventure and help our team reach our goal!
Thank you for your support!
