shoe4africa - make the difference!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
As some of you know, I’m avid runner and a student of the sport since moving to Seattle, WA in 2015. I’m reaching out to you all for your assistance to raise money for the 2019 TCS NYC marathon on Nov 3rd.
I’m very excited for the opportunity to run on behalf of Shoes4Africa, a charity whose mission is “to save and empower African kids’ lives and empowering women through highly cost effective, scale-able proven methods.” As I learned more about the charity, whose achievements include building and opening the first public children’s hospital in East Africa and five public schools in Kenya, I was inspired by its mission. In 2017, I traveled to Kenya and was able to witness first-hand the impact that Shoe4Africa has on the health and wellness of the people of East Africa. I continue to be impressed by Shoe4Africa’s commitment to improving lives in a region where so many people lack basic access to healthcare and education, as well as its minimal overhead expenses compared to many other non-profits, ensuring that all donations make a real difference. With that said, the nonprofit now has a goal of building the first kids cancer hospital in Sub Saharan Africa in 2020! It would be awesome if we can help this organization achieve this goal.
Please consider donating, any amount will be extremely helpful. 100% of your donations will go to the construction of this children’s cancer hospital in Sub Saharan Africa. Thank you for listening!
