This November 5th, we are running the 52nd TCS New York City Marathon (World’s largest marathon) to raise funds for East African children born into poverty and diagnosed with cancer. This is Jim’s second marathon, and he definitely has something to prove after “bonking” during the Portland Marathon in 2002 (he got cold, so he says). It’s Catherine’s sixth(?) (including Boston, twice). She has nothing to prove, and may take pity on Jim, and run with him (at least until he gets annoyed of her cheerfulness and shoes her away). LOL. The charity we are running for, Shoe4Africa (https://shoe4africa.org), is committed to building the 1st children’s cancer hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa (a 152-bed public facility). In 2015, they opened the 1st public children’s general hospital in East Africa which treats 400+ patients a day. Please help me reach my fundraising goal. Donations are tax deductible, and 100% of the funds raised will go directly to making this hospital a reality. Please support us, and this worthy cause! Jim and Catherine
