shoe4africa - make the difference!
For me, running always has been about more than just running. Mostly, it has been about relationships. First was the relationship I had with my father when I was a young a boy and began joining him at the track to run endless circles, log our miles, and win T-shirts. Through fifty years since that time, I’ve had the privilege of shared sorrows and joys with my closest friends while we logged long miles on Saturday mornings.
Shoe4africa is giving me another reason to run in 2020 – to make a small contribution to help bring comfort and some measure of health to those most in need on this planet.
I would love for you to join me in an effort to raise funds for the first pediatric oncology hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa. It will be named after our dear, close friend, Julie Perry, who, sadly, lost her life to breast cancer.
