shoe4africa - make the difference!
This November, I will be running in the 51st NYC Marathon with my friend Kevin Danforth to raise funds for East African children diagnosed with cancer. In Africa, 9 out of 10 children diagnosed with cancer will not survive (compared to 1 out of 10 in the US).
Since 1995, our charity Shoe4Africa has supported East Africa’s impoverished youth by supplying running shoes, building 6 elementary schools, and constructing, maintaining, and operating East Africa’s 1st Public Children’s Hospital in Kenya. Since its inception in 2015, the hospital has treated over 860,000 children.
100% of funds gathered from this year’s marathon will go directly to the realization of East Africa’s 1st Children’s Cancer Hospital, a 152-bed public facility (St. Jude’s is a 77-bed unit) which will save countless children from cancer.
Please join me in supporting this incredible foundation by donating any amount you can. Matching gifts are welcomed, and all donations are tax deductible under US law.
Together we can make a difference! Thank you!
