shoe4africa - make the difference!

Dear Friends and Family,

On November 5th 2023 I’m honored to be running the New York City Marathon for team Shoe4Africa – an organization devoted to supporting East African children born into poverty and diagnosed with cancer.

It would be incredible if you could support me by donating to their cause!

As a father of two, I’m especially proud to be running for the charity Shoe4Africa. Children diagnosed with cancer in America have a 90% survival chance while children with cancer in Africa have a 90% chance of dying. Shoe4Africa is committed to building a first of its kind children’s cancer hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa (a 152-bed public facility) – giving kids a fighting chance.

Shoe4Africa was started by runners and began their efforts in East Africa by donating shoes in the 1990’s, grew to building 6 public schools (currently serving 2000+ kids) and in 2015 opened the first public pediatric general hospital in East Africa which treats 400+ patients a day. It has been featured on CNN and is a registered 501 (3c) charity.

Donations are tax deductible and 100% of the funds I raise will go directly to helping kids. All donations are welcome and no donation is too small – I deeply appreciate your support in making these miles count!
