Greetings Friends and Family,
Thank you for visiting our 2018 Shoe4Africa NYC Marathon charity page.

With the 2018 NYC Marathon nearly upon us, we are excited to dedicate my 26.2 mile run to the construction of a new secondary school in Kenya. Along the lines of the Shoe4Africa’s mission of advancing quality education, healthcare and empowering women in Africa, Zeynep and I will endeavor to build an all girls secondary school outside of Eldoret, Kenya, where the Shoe4Africa Public Children’s Hospital operates now in it’s 4th year! The school will stand in honor of my maternal grandmother, Idella Rome, a life long educator, role model, and mentor of ours. Her tireless efforts as a teacher and leader are a constant reminder of how essential education is for young people everywhere. Please help us fund this project, the construction of the Idella Rome Shoe4Africa School for Girls where it may be a benefit to the community for generations to come. Thank you for your continued love and support and we will see you at the finish line on November 4th.
