Friends and family, This November 5th I am running for children who can’t. I will be running the TCS New York City Marathon (World’s largest marathon) to raise funds for East African children born into poverty and diagnosed with cancer. The odds are against these kids. Nine out of 10 of these children are dying in sub-Saharan Africa when diagnosed with cancers because there is not a single children’s cancer hospital in the entire region of sub-Saharan Africa (a population of over one billion). In America, one out of 10 kids die and 90% of those kids are healed in kids cancer centers. The charity I am running for, Shoe4Africa (https://shoe4africa.org), is committed to building the 1st children’s cancer hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa (a 152-bed public facility). In 2015, they opened the 1st public children’s general hospital in East Africa which treats 400+ patients a day. Please help me reach my fundraising goal. Donations are tax deductible, and 100% of the funds raised will go directly to making this hospital a reality. With much appreciation for your support of this worthy cause, |
