shoe4africa - make the difference!
Hi Friends and Family!
This November I am running for children who deserve a better future. I will be running the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon to raise funds for African children born into poverty and diagnosed with cancer. Nine out of 10 of these children will not survive (as compared to 1 out of 10 in the United States). The charity I am running for, Shoe4Africa, is going to change the odds! Together we are building a 152 bed children’s cancer hospital. As a mom, healthcare professional and runner, this cause is near to my heart.
Back in 2015 they built East & Central Africa’s 1st Children’s Public Hospital that has treated over 860,000 patients to date! They have six free to attend government accredited Shoe4Africa schools giving 2,000 kids a day the chance of quality education, and they run a thriving women’s empowerment project for over 100 women of domestic violence. Shoe4Africa is committed to building the 1st children’s cancer hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal! 100% of the funds raised will go directly to making this hospital a reality. Matching gifts welcomed, and all donations are tax deductible under US law.
With much love and appreciation for your support of this worthy cause,
Thank you for caring to make the difference – Let’s do it!
