shoe4africa - make the difference!
Dear Friends and Family,
Welcome to my fundraising page!
I am very excited to participate in NYC half marathon in March 2017 with Team Shoe4Africa.
While we are fortunate we have most of the things we need to live comfortably in this country, there are kids in the world who don’t have basic belongings, or services such as health care or education. When I was looking at NYC half marathon entry and found Shoe4Africa, I got immediately interested. This is a great way to make use of my passion for running to contribute something to a meaningful activity to help children in other parts of the world!
Shoe4Africa was founded by runner & philanthropist Toby Tanser in 1995. It is an organization devoted to improving the lives of people throughout East Africa, especially women & children. What began as a project to provide shoes for athletes in Kenya has become a massive effort to develop health & education infrastructure throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
Currently, Shoe4Africa is in the process of building the first ever public teaching childrens hospital in all of East Africa. By providing healthcare to children and training to adults, the hospital will create a strong foundation of health and self-sufficiency and will pave the way for a future where child mortality is the exception rather than the rule.

…and if you feel motivated to donate funds you can do so right here! Every little bit means the world to me and will help create a brighter future for the people of Africa.
Thank you so much for your support!!!
