shoe4africa - make the difference!
I know first hand the need for a children’s hospital. Four of my babies lived in the NICU for 3 1/2 months after birth and have returned to the hospital for several visits and surgeries and continue to require periodic hospital care. My son Danny has just had open heart surgery and received a new pulmonary Valve. Without proper medical care none of my quadruplets would be here today and Danny’s heart would have stopped working before he turned 18. The children in Africa are not so lucky they do not have the medical care we have here in our country. This November 6th, I will be running the New York City Marathon (26.2 long miles!!) for a purpose beyond the personal and physical challenge that marathon running entails.
As a team member for the Shoe4Africa Marathon team, I have made the commitment to run in this event to help children in Africa who do not have access to even basic healthcare, and the funds the team raises will help to build the largest children’s hospital in Kenya, Africa.
Please help me to “be the difference”! Please click on the links to learn more and help support this charity. My goal is the sum of $3000 by race day. All donations are 100% deductible as this is a 501(c)(3) organization and will go directly to building the hospital.
Thanks in advance for your generous support. I will keep you posted on my training efforts as well as progress on the hospital campaign . I only run for a cause I am passionate about.I am running in honor of my son Danny and his courage and for all the kids in Africa that were also born with a congenital heart defect.
Running for Shoe4Africa brings hope to children!
