I am running the NYC Half on March 19 to support Shoe4Africa.Proud to be a member of the team and I’m excited to run the 13.1 miles to support this incredible charity. Please donate to help me reach my fundraising goal of $1,000.

Shoe4Africa started as an organization that sent shoes to children in Africa to prevent hookworm. It has since broadened its mission to focus on health and education and has completed the following projects:
– the construction of a children’s hospital. It is now running at full capacity and has treated over 37,000 children.
– the launch of an accredited teaching hospital.
– the building of 4 new government accredited public schools, with the next 3 in planning stages.

Funds raised will go to support the build of a Children’s Cancer Hospital. Donations will also go towards the addition of a music therapy room to help children alleviate anxiety and help with pain management.

Please donate today and help me raise $1,000 by my birthday, February 25! If my fundraising goal is reached, I promise to train and celebrate that day by running a race in Prospect Park in a giant donut costume. Let’s do this!

Thank you for your support. If you have any questions, you can reach me at val225@gmail.com.
